TThis site exists for one simple reason:

Some things help more than they should.

Straight2theList is a collection of short lists — the kind you read quickly, nod at, and maybe come back to later when you need something small, steady, and not dramatic.

No deep dives.

No life overhaul.

No pressure to improve yourself by Tuesday.

(This site does not come with a morning routine.)

Just ordinary things, habits, comforts, ideas, and observations that quietly make life a little easier, warmer, or more enjoyable — often in ways no one bothered to explain.

I’m Laura.

I make lists when my brain gets noisy and my coffee gets cold.

This site is basically that habit, but organized.

I’m also a writer — the kind who notices small things, overthinks briefly, then edits it down into something simpler. I’ve learned that many of the most useful ideas don’t need a manifesto. They just need to be written down before you forget them.

What you’ll find here

  • Small comforts that add up (sometimes suspiciously well)
  • Lists that don’t overthink themselves
  • Things that work — even when you weren’t expecting them to
  • The occasional opinion, offered gently and without insisting

Some lists are cozy.

Some are practical.

Some are just here to say, “You’re not the only one.”

What this site is not

It’s not a self-help program.

It’s not a productivity system.

It’s not trying to fix you, optimize you, or unlock your potential before breakfast.

You’re fine.

Think of it more like someone sliding a list across the table and letting you decide.

Why Straight2theList

Because sometimes you don’t want an essay.

You don’t want a framework.

You don’t want a transformation arc.

You just want a few good ideas and the quiet relief of knowing someone else noticed the same things you did — and wrote them down so you didn’t have to.

If you leave feeling a little lighter,

or like you just shared a small, knowing moment with someone who gets it,

then it’s doing its job.

Save what works.

Skip what doesn’t.

That’s it. That’s the site.
